We received the Best Paper Distinction Award at FedCSIS 2023!

CILab successfully organized the third edition of the FAPER workshop in Udine!

CILab is a research laboratory of the Department of Computer Science of the University of Bari Aldo Moro that deals with fundamental and applied research in the field of Computational Intelligence. The CILab research group was established by Prof. Annamaria Fanelli and is currently coordinated by Prof. Giovanna Castellano.

Computational Intelligence

Computational Intelligence focuses on developing intelligent systems that can adapt and learn from experience, solve complex problems, and perform tasks that traditionally require human intelligence. It finds application in several areas, including data analysis, pattern recognition, optimization, and decision support systems. Computational Intelligence encompasses various subfields, including artificial neural networks, evolutionary algorithms, and fuzzy systems. These techniques are often used to analyze large-scale, complex datasets, extract patterns and make predictions or decisions based on the knowledge gained.

Objectives

The central objectives of CILab are developed around three axes:

Research

CILab's current research is developed around the following main topics:
